poetry

A Burden; a poem

I hold the burden of it in my chest

A welcoming unwelcome guest

I remember it when I want things to look small

Or when time comes to stall

And on a starry night

I imagine you could say sorry right

But it’s okay

There is so much more to say

But those words aren’t for you

No more time for chaos to ensue

I’ve got my burdens

Left things on certain

But as for your war?

I left a closed door.
