Can we be saved?; a poem

I reminisce about all the risks

We would take for young sake.

Oh yes, I remember who we were

Before Reality so rudely knocked, and we remembered that all our doors were unlocked.

It was truly and intrusion on our illusion.

The question remains: are we still sane?

Can we be saved once our hearts have caved ?

And our souls wonder as our feet blunder

into the dark and bitter before we can consider

that we were wrong all along.
