poetry

You would have had to have been whole at one time; a poem.

I am telling you this because I know you are blind; can’t see the light.

So I will come down, once again in deep water with you, and compare bruises.

You can show me how to wade through the darkness again, and I’ll show you how to dream again of a life where you don’t have to drown your sorrows in a bottle and only cry when they run dry.

Because remember: for the broken to have been broken, you would have had to have been whole at one time.
